He was offered the job of Medical officer. According to wishes of his father, he decided to give medical services in his home town Mandi Dabwali. In those days, he was the only M.B.B.S doctor in the town. He used to give medical treatment at affordable prices to his patients. He was also interested in the field of education and other charitable purposes.

He is the President of M.P college for women for the government for almost 40 years. This is one of the oldest institution for girls education in nearby areas of Punjab, Rajasthan & Haryana. He is also attached with Ganaga Mata Charitable Eye Hospital and Research Institute as Patron member. He is President of Shri Vaid Dayal Charitable Trust.

From the early days, he was much interested in environment specially planting of trees. In college days, he decided to plant trees. He started planting trees in his ancestral land. He is one of the earliest planter of gardens in the area. His garden’s Keroo and Red Balta is quite famous. He started planting of Safeda tree in large land areas of Punjab District Muktsar village Swat Khera. Every year he used to plant a large number of trees in the area.

He was interested in eye care 20 years back and started Seth Roshan Lal Charitable Eye Hospital in Mandi Dabwali. In those days, eye care was difficult for poor people. He started with Rs 10 outdoor registration fees and is processing for last 20 years. 2 years back, Physiotherapy centre with all types of facilities has been started under the advice and guidance of Dr. Girdhari Lal along with his whole team.

With the capability of best team we are treating the patients and improving the functioning of trust and all the team members are doing the best of their effort.
